April 2018. Miami Dade College's MDC Live Arts presented Hip Hoppa Locka, a two week residency of female hip hop artists from the Muslim world teaching in Opa-locka.The endeavor culminated with a free performance/ block party at The ARC in Opa-locka. Presented in partnership with OLDCD and made possible with generous support from the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art and Knight Foundation, as part of the Knight Arts Challenge.
