GARDEN OF HUMANITY
A Place for Culture, Reflection & Connection
The Garden of Humanity is an outdoor cultural and community space on the Ten North Campus where art, nature, music and community come together.
Through exhibitions, live performances, cultural programming and community gatherings, the Garden provides an environment where residents and visitors can connect with one another while experiencing the arts in an accessible public setting.
Programs such as Jazz at the Garden of Humanity demonstrate how the space can transform into a vibrant gathering place—connecting cultural expression with community building.

“REQUIRED READING” EXHIBITION
Art. Literature. History. Memory.
Required Reading responds to contemporary debates surrounding access to books and the telling of African American history.The exhibition considers what happens when works addressing slavery, Jim Crow, inequality and the Black experience are removed from educational and public conversations. It positions access to literature and historical knowledge as essential to understanding the complexity of America's past and present.
TEN NORTH GROUP’S HISTORIC TRAIN STATIONSIRIKI KY EXHIBITION
The work of Siriki Ky draws visitors into African traditions through sculptural figures and masks inspired by ancestral heritage.Within these traditions, masks can serve ceremonial and spiritual purposes associated with protection, healing, fertility, ancestors and forces of nature. Ky's sculptures explore the relationship between people, their environments and the spiritual traditions surrounding community life.His work also moves beyond the physical mask to consider the metaphorical one’s people carry through everyday social interactions.

Housed at the historic train station that perfectly compliments the city’s distinctive architectural theme, the museum serves as a dynamic hub for history, arts, culture, and community engagement. Its mission is deeply rooted in preserving and celebrating the rich, diverse heritage of the local community, particularly highlighting the contributions of African American and Caribbean cultures. Through a permanent rotating schedule of art exhibitions, educational programs, and cultural events, the museum provides an essential platform for local artist and storytellers, fostering a sense of pride and continuity. It stands as a testament to Ten North Group’s commitment to community development, transforming a historical space into a living, breathing institution that both honors the past and inspires the future.
